The Auto Hail Repair Process Using Paintless Dent Repair

Paintless dent repair is a technique that utilizes a unique set of tools that almost resemble piano tuning forks. The biggest difference is that paintless dent repair tools don’t have the fork at the end. Instead, the ends of these petite, multi-lengthed rods have what looks like a broken capital letter L at the end. Instead of the bend being at a 90° angle, they are more at a series of 135+° angles.
Paintless dent repair technicians use these rods to get behind the dent, on the underside of the damaged panel, to gently reverse the indention by massaging it back to its pre-damaged condition. One by one, technicians remove each dent until the hail damaged vehicle looks like new again.
