Step 1: File a Hail Damage Claim
The first step in the auto hail repair process is to file a claim with your insurance company. You can either call the number found on the back of your insurance card or some companies have an online filing option. You can find this information on their website.
The information you will need:
- Date of the occurrence
- Location of the occurrence
- Insurance policy number
- Vehicle Make / Model
After you file your claim, you will be assigned a local hail damage adjuster. The adjuster will either work independently or for the insurance company. In a catastrophic event where widespread damage has occurred in a city or designated area – you might be asked to visit a “drive through” hail assessment tent usually set up in a parking lot.
